P52L: Week 11 Red shawl at Disneyland

Feeling young!

As you now know, Hong Kong is my favorite out-of-the-country chillax destination. So here’s a P52L from last year’s visit to Hong Kong Disneyland. I remember I was really giddy like a little girl and soooper excited!! Look how happy and kiddie that is!!

Well, there’s nothing much on the look because it’s a normal cold-weather outfit. Above I’m wearing a sweater I got from a Mango outlet on our way to Disneyland, underneath that is a black racer back. I think the key piece here is the red shawl that I would normally wear on semi-formal occasions.

Soooper expensive ice cream!!! As far as I can remember, this cost HKD18! o_O

O crap, I’m running out of materials I can use for my P52L. I still have 41 weeks to go!!! o_O

P52L: Week 10 Winston

Few weeks ago, I was privileged to get invited to attend the Globe Tatt Awards at the Manila Peninsula. I know it must be the friend working in Globe, Winston (or must be Ade – another friend who is actually in charge of sending out the invitations), who got me on the list.

So there, the night before the event, Winston and I went out to find the perfect ensemble for him. I was really excited because it’s the first time that we go shopping together! Yay!

So here’s what we were able to come out with:

Though the night’s theme is to reflect one’s personality, my idea really was to give Winston a new image. If you know him personally, you wouldn’t imagine him wearing worn out skinny jeans of this type or loud shirts or even do accessories. But he totally rock this look!

We got the yellow shirt from Zara and the jeans from Topman.

On the night of the Globe Tatt Awards, there’s this photographer guy who went up to Winston and asked him to pose for a solo shot. I said, it must be the outfit! It has to be!! HAHAHA

With Jehz. He was also in Greenbelt that night so we asked him to go to Topman while Winston was trying the pants on. I really love spending night outs with these two because I can be myself without any worries. Thank goodness for good friends. =)

P52L: Week 9 Patar Beach, Bolinao

Two weeks ago I spent a weekend in Patar Beach for the third time. The place has never failed to make me fall in love with it over and over again. I was there to celebrate my birthday, I was with my blogger friends Robbie, Josh and Darwin, and Kk.

Don’t you just love the sand, the beach, the sun? I do. I utterly do.

Cardigans in the middle of a hot day. =)) Ikr.

This was like suicide, wearing cardigans under the scorching heat! But I think it was worth it )

The hat and the cardigans are Robbie’s. I’m wearing a striped sleeveless shirt (Php300, more or less) and cute artsy patsy skirt (Php550), both are from Forever21.

P52L: Week 8 Bolinao Lighthouse

QUICK POST. Because I can’t find time these days. =))

I remember I got a compliment wearing this white beach dress in Boracay. A Caucasian woman came up to me and asked where I bought it because it’s really pretty. I got this in Boracay last year for only Php120. What’s nice with beach dress is that you can take it anywhere because it’s super light ( you can fold it or roll it and it’s really small I swear ) and you would only need a nice satin shawl and it would transform from a simple beach day dress to a fab night beach party dress.

The pair of pink sunnies above is from Cotton On in Singapore, bought it on sale for only SGD5. Colorful beaded bracelet is from Landmark department store for only Php30.

And of course, my ever reliable, versatile and can’t-live-without pair of pink flip flops from Havs.

I’m super excited to go back to Bolinao this weekend. Birthday party at Patar Beach with other travel bloggers! Yeay!

So there goes my Week 8. Bilis noh? HAHA

P52L: Week 7 Black and Gray

Week 7 is delayed by 9 days

Anywaaaay. Here’s me in skirt and boots (again). These were taken last Februarys HK visit.

On the subway. Waiting for train going to Ngong Ping.

Here I was wearing my ever favorite knee-length boots, a turtle neck shirt from Mango (can’t remember the price because I bought this last 2010 HK visit), a black cardigans from Cotton On (only HKD50) and a short skirt I bought in Kirin Kirin, a small fashion boutique in Robinsons Metro East, for only Php150.

There goes also a pair of above-the-knee cotton socks from Forever21 (less than Ph150), a scarf and a pair of tights to keep me warm.

Kate Moss for Longchamp Fall 2011 Collection

I was just checking out what’s new with Longchamp because my dear friend is flying to Singapore tomorrow and I’m thinking to ask him to get me one. It’s always cheaper to buy signature bags in Singapore or Hong Kong (even in Paris, Longchamp Le Pliage bag would only cost around Php5000 for the medium long-handle classic, whereas the same style of Longchamp bag is around Php9000 in Rustan’s here in Manila) so I thought it’s obviously practical to buy it abroad. I am itching to own another Longchamp, something bigger than my medium le pliage that I can use in my travels.

Last year I was totally in love with Jeremy Scott’s designs for Longchamp Le Pliage. And now, look what I’ve fallen in love with from Longchamp’s new collection:

So there. Longchamp’s new collection features Kate Moss. She collaborated with French luxury bag label Longchamp for the fourth time to create another line under her name. Working with Longchamp’s Artistic Director Sophie Delafontaine, Kate Moss for Longchamp Fall 2011 collection has twelve new designs, eight of which are Gloucester Longchamp bags. I actually liked the new designs, I love how it played black, maroon and suede.

Last Friday I was trying out some items in Rustan’s (Glorietta). I bought a very nice purple skirt for only Php450. I didn’t buy the floral chiffon top I’m wearing in this picture because I think it’s too pricey for Php700. But. One of these days I will go and get myself a nice chiffon blouse because I realized flowy chiffon blouses are nice with tight skirts.

P52L: Week 5 Summer shorts!

Last week I spent a few days in Hong Kong and Macau for a very very short and impromptu trip. It’s very hot and humid there during these months.

I spent my second day touring different temples in HK. I went there several times but I wasn’t able to visit any temples except for the ones in Nan Lian garden.

When I planned to visit the temples, I knew that I had to be in my most comfortable outfit. Considering the temperature and humidity, it’s undoubtedly practical to wear light clothes. And because I knew I had to walk, I wore comfy sneakers.

This was taken in Gateway Tower 2 in Tsim Sha Tsui. Layering my favorite Forever 21 ‘multi-purpose’ sleeveless shirt (Php135) with an off shoulder striped blouse from Cotton On (HKD75/Php450). The cute bag’s also from Forever 21. Of course, that cute pink shades is only SGD5, from Cotton On Singapore.

At a pedestrian tunnel near the Che Kung MTR Station. And yes, there has to be drama, eh? =))

Surprisingly, I enjoyed my solo temple escapade. I had no one to complain to, so I kept my chill even in the most frantic situation of getting drenched with sweat and dying of thirst. =))

Here’s a very similar outfit I wore during a Google seminar on Adsense and Analytics. Instead of layering a sleeveless shirt with a blouse, what I did here is layer a floral cardigan over the shirt:

P52L: Week 4 When it rains, it’s boots!

Forgive the lame title because I’ve ran out of witty titles. The heat in Hong Kong must have drained my creative juice. LOL

Anywaaaaaay. I MISSED MANILA!! I almost died of heat stroke in HK, t’was around 33degrees there. T’was my first time to visit HK during one of its hottest months, and I’d probably never do that again, well unless I only intend to shop the whole time in malls and no plans of walking around outside Haha

So I really appreciate how lovely this Monday is. It’s pouring a little and I’m loving the cold atmosphere. I love summer, but I also love the rainy season because I get to wear boots on a tropical country!

Last week I was at Trinoma and ultimately wishing it’d rain because I wore boots. Good heavens, it trickled only a little haha

Standing in line. But I didn't buy anything! Hahaha

Yes. Boots. And shorts. I was pretty confident I can pull the outfit nicely. But no one actually affirmed my confidence so I am not really sure how I did with the look haha

I bought the boots in HK from last Feb’s visit. The pair of black M’phosis shorts is from the ukay ukay session we had in GenSan also last Feb, what usually cost arpund Php1000-1200, I got it for only Php135. Sweeeeeet deal.

That loose blue sleeveless shirt’s from Zara, which again I got on sale, Php900, half of its original price. The blue sando underneath that is from Forever21, Php189.

Well, I guess that’s it. Must wrap up this post already because I still have class here in UP. Just let me know what you think about wearing knee high boots in malls.

P52L: Week 3 Boyfriend shirt is Hot

I always enjoy going around in Hong Kong. It’s never a hassle to commute even on your most fab day wear because the public transportation system there is super comfy and doable unlike here in Manila. When in HK, I prefer taking MTRs than buses. Walking during the cold months is very enjoyable.

Last February I was able to spend a week in HK (and a daytrip in Macau). These photos were taken in Argyle on the last day of my trip. Shopping day this was!

Here I’m wearing a boyfriend shirt and a skirt. I layered a thin brown belt over the button-down shirt to give curves to a manly cut. As I remember it, I got the shirt from Zara, on sale. Php990. Originally Php2500.

That guy right there is checking me out. =/ hahaha

I bought the boots from Cotton On on the first night. It was on sale! Originally priced 250HKD, I got it for only 99HKD. Sweeeeet sale! I stayed in Argyle and every night I would go down to the ladies market to scout the shops in the area to find good buys.

The knee-length socks were from Forever 21 (SM Megamall), I can’t remember the price. I think it was around Php100-120. And of course, the Longchamp bag was a gift from a friend who went to Paris.

It was really cold in HK during that visit but I was able to wear skirt because I was wearing knee-length socks and boots which made me feel really warm. And also, the temperature went up to 17C and t’was a little sunny already.

I wish to go back to HK soon. It’s always nice to dress up there without worrying about what other people might think of you haha
